Soon, hubby and I are going on our 15th anniversary trip and you better believe I will bring this bottle with me! I think nearly all of us have that hesitation with traveling and sleeping in a bed that is not our own. You just never know how clean it is or what unwanted guests are there. My friend Jodi posted this recipe a while back after an unfortunate hotel experience and I wanted to share it with you. This is perfect because it’s a small bottle, perfect for travel – you can even take it in your carryon if you need to (just as you would any other liquid).
in a 15ml spray bottle combine the following:
15 drops Lavender
15 drops Cedarwood
15 drops Palo Santo
fill the remainder of the bottle with water
When you get to the hotel/resort, pull back the sheets and spray directly on the bed, pillows, side of bed and between the mattresses if you’re able. An added bonus is that the Cedarwood and Lavender are calming oils that are perfect for bedtime. No unwanted guests and restful sleep. Sounds like a vacation to me.
I personally use and trust Young Living as my source for essential oils. Their integrity and quality is so important to me and I love their Seed to Seal process. The fact that I can visit the farms and see how the oils are produced speaks volumes to me. If you’d like to learn more about essential oils, I’d love to talk to you more about them and how to purchase them.
